A World
of Love
Expressing the Best of Your Love |
Once a year, in February, we have a holiday
dedicated love. Valentine's Day,
celebrated in many countries, puts people in a caring mood. The flaw with this and many
holidays is that people only express warm feelings on those days instead of year-round.
Love is important and should be expressed daily. Everyone knows there are different
kinds of love but do they know how to show love? Love can be expressed many ways. For
example, you can:
- Always look for the good in people.
- Treat everyone with respect.
- Give a hug to those you love at least once a day.
- Greet everyone with a smile.
Some creative ways to express love for the children in your life are to:
- Make up your own activities.
- Give them your attention.
- Cut out a cartoon they'll enjoy.
If you're in a romantic relationship, you can show love in even more ways:
- Give your partner a massage.
- Send flowers or write a poem.
- Do the dishes without being asked.
For people with whom you do business:
- If you disagree, have a calm, non-threatening discussion.
- Let them know that you appreciate their work.
The elderly:
- Listen to their opinions.
- Help them with little things.
The sick:
- Visit them in the hospital.
- Help them to smile again.
The disadvantaged:
- Volunteer to help them out.
- Donate to effective charities.
- Help them smile to forget their troubles.
The disabled:
- Make sure their needs are met.
- Treat them with kindness and respect.
- Make sure they have easy access to what they need and enjoy.
You can show love in many creative ways. It is valuable to express love by what you do,
not by the things you buy. Doing this shows people how much you care for them. Remember,
happy people are rich in life because of what they already have, not by having
everything.
