Hearts & Minds - Information for ChangeSM
Relief for
Victims of Terrorism
|
| You can help any of the
following organizations. It is important to respond to immediate disasters. Still, we
should not lose sight of pressing needs around the world. Some of the groups below address
this. This list was compiled
in 2001 and we cannot guarantee that all the organizations below are
still involved in directly aiding victims of terrorism.
As
horrible as their loss was, many of the families of 9/11 victims
have already received large payments
- sometimes millions of dollars - from insurance companies and the
government. There are other issues where people may be in far greater
need. Please also consider Volunteering and Donating for Ongoing Needs. |
Info on
this page may be reprinted anywhere.
Please include: From Hearts and Minds: www.change.net
For most, you can donate by secure on-line credit card form, mail or
phone. Some also accept supplies for the victims. You can earmark help for a specific
disaster or let the organization use it where most needed.
Those with "*"
receive an "A" or "B" grade from American
Institute of Philanthropy. Others may also do good work. Please see
