We received a forwarded e-mail, originally from a Jay Wilder.* His message is that we should "Bomb them with butter, bribe them with hope." He suggests supplying the Afghans with badly needed food and other necessities, magazines and other information to counter the hate propaganda of bin Laden and the Taliban. This idea still sounds good for many other parts of the world. *We are unable to find Jay Wilder to get his permission to reprint.
