       Primary goal is to inform Americans of the need for a reasonable immigration policy based on the nation's interests and needs. Representing many different ethnic groups and backgrounds, AIC supporters have a deep commitment to preserving our common heritage as Americans and to helping educate others on the disastrous effects of uncontrolled immigration.
      Advocates immigration control in the United States. Publishes and distributes numerous publications, some written by scholars, on immigration issues. An easy to navigate website and online purchases are available. -SSN

Provides information and a broad program of services at all stages of the migration process for refugees and migrants. Serves as a communications link between clients, communities of resettlement and government authorities.
         A century old organization with 2 overseas offices in Israel and Argentina. Besides the usual immigration information and assistance offered, the organization also helps locate lost relatives for Jewish families. Publications are available for interested immigrants and provide information for gaining entry to United States through other means, such as on parole status. -SSN

       An organization that can help provide legal expertise to immigrants on complex issues they may face. Website is extensive and has good links to other websites that advocate immigrants' rights and provide assistance. -SSN

       Mission is to help immigrant families and children to achieve their aspirations for a better life in the United States. they provide direct support to promote positive inter-cultural relations. IIF has been providing orientation and direct immigration, naturalization, and settlement counseling for near 30 years to immigrants from all cultures, race, religion and social status.
       An attractive and well organized website, with chat room facility. The organization has world career bank that helps to match job seekers, who post their resumes with the career bank, with potential employers. IIF also organizes an annual international cultures parade, as showcased in its cultural events link. -SSN

        The New York Association for New Americans (NYANA) has developed the Family Heritage Documentary Project to strengthen literacy skills among youth in New York City public schools, and to assist teachers and administrators in addressing the New York State and New York City standards in English Language Arts, the Arts, U.S. History, and Global History. The Project teaches students to utilize photography and writing to document the history of their families and immigrant communities in New York.
       Website is undergoing a revamp and due for relaunch in Summer 2003. The site has a good description of the Family Heritage Documentary Project, with contact details for interested volunteers who want to get involved in the project. -SSN
