Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or
the same way. Learning is not a spectator sport. Learning is like rowing upstream, not to advance is to
fall back.
A learned man always has wealth in himself. Education is what survives when what has been learned
has been forgotten. The foundation of every state is the education of its
youth. He who asks a question may be a fool for five minutes, but he who
never asks a question remains a fool forever. Formal education will make you a living;
self-education will make you a fortune. To repeat what others have said, requires education;
to Sit down before fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every
preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and whatever abysses nature leads, or you will
learn nothing. Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original
dimensions. The great aim of education is not knowledge but
action. A good
mentor offers directions and driving tips from the back seat. You still have
to drive the car.
