If we can conquer space, we can conquer childhood
hunger. The full man does not understand the wants of the
hungry. If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed
one. One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one
has not dined well. With fingers weary and
worn, The war against hunger is truly mankind’s war of
liberation. Happiness rarely keeps company with an empty stomach.
A hungry man is an angry one. There are genuinely sufficient resources in the world
to ensure that no one, nowhere, at no time, should go hungry. Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a
man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime. Your
problems pale in comparison with those of the millions of people in the
world who do not have enough to eat.
