"The Division of Sexually Transmitted Disease/AIDS
Control (STD/AIDS) coordinates province-wide efforts to reduce the spread of STDs and
minimize their adverse health effect. STD/AIDS Control is the provincial reporting centre
for cases of STDs and AIDS."
This site is another well-known site and
organization. This division focuses solely on STDs and AIDS. It has information on
prevention and control, basic information on different types, symptoms/response, and also
statistics. This site also has a long list of clinics, programs, events, etc. to help
people in need of information and health advisors. -OCC

"The Sexual Health Program is the oldest health
program at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. Since 1974, the Sexual Health Program has
been dedicated to providing screening, treatment and education for community members. The
clinic environment is particularly designed to serve L.A.'s lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender community, but everyone is welcome regardless of sexual orientation."
I find this organization to have some of the most
helpful information, giving information on almost 20 STDs. The site is very easy to follow
and simply laid out for anyone's use. The site has information on different types of
prevention, risk factors and level of harm, and a list of referrals to other clinics
that can be found near you. The site also has a downloadable list of referrals in
Spanish
for your use.

support of effective services to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV
infection) and their complications such as enhanced HIV transmission, infertility, adverse
outcomes of pregnancy, and reproductive tract cancer."
STD Prevention is a division of the CDC, a well-known
organization to help one learn about all these diseases and then get help. In this section, it is very easy
to follow and find what you need. It contains information about different types of STDs,

This site is easy to follow and contains a lot of information
on different STDs. Information on treatments, symptoms, descriptions and more about each

"Valley

no costs."
This site is very helpful, and focused fully to the teenage
population. Although the clinics one can find by searching can only be found in
California, if you are not from California, the information can be useful. Has a
question and answer section, information on birth control, safe sex, STD prevention, and
more. -OCC
