"... is a three phase program for people who want to change both the way they eat and the way they confront their weight problem. Most participants share a long history of battling their extra pounds in an endless succession of diets and other weight-loss schemes, and have finally wearied of the "yo-yo syndrome"- dieting and bingeing up and down the scale in a painful cycle of high hopes soon dashed by feelings of failure and frustration. Other members may not be overweight, but suffer from compulsive over-eating, binge eating and the related eating disorder, bulimia. The vulnerability all participants share is feeling out of control with food, and that their preoccupation with eating and weight is draining their lives of valuable time and energy."

"We started this site due to the distinct lack of approachable and fun sites to help, advise, support and cheer up those suffering with eating disorders. Most the sites we found offered advice but no support or looked like patronizing books of condolence with lilies and black borders (for goodness sake!). So we decided to start this up and form an online community which would generate a positive supportive atmosphere as well as allowing those participating in the forums to make friends with people who know what they are experiencing and be able to talk about anything (even just what kind of day they had) without other people judging them."
This site is not like many of the other sites listed here. Although I believe it to be just as important. The site has many forums for people to reply to, read about, and meet other people through. The first step to recovery is to understand that you have a problem and to talk about it. This site makes this easier by introducing you to people with similar problems who understand. -OCC
