       "A not-for-profit law firm that provides free civil legal assistance to New York's most at-risk, low income populations, including seniors, immigrants, victims of domestic violence, children with special needs, people with AIDS, and others in need of legal help. Focuses on direct legal services, advocacy through impact litigation, consultation for social workers and their clients, community legal education, and volunteer programs.  For general legal services or immigration issues please call on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. NYLAG attorneys are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M until 3:00 P.M."
      
The NYLAG is devoted to serve its clients, especially those who cannot pay for legal help. It also deals with sensitive and important issues such as Holocaust survivors and victims of the World Trade Center attack. -MA
